Our lightweight oil tank for the polaris Matryx is here. Integrating a one piece design, replacing the bottle support plate, and milling out a lightweight version of our own, compatible with both n/a an and boost machines. Shedding roughly a pound of weight over stock bottle/plate, and another 4lbs with lower volume of fluid. Tested in the BC backcountry for deep days, giving you enough oil to run er pinned all day. Holding 1655ML (1.75qt)(56oz)(1.66L). Utilizing the stock cap, and sender sensor.
What separates our oil Rez, other than volume, is an internal baffle system to assist with holding fluids at the pickup, keeping bathed around the intake screen, to replicate how the stock oil bottle works. When the sled is in an un level position, or violently bumping it helps to retain fluids around the pickup. We've integrated a secondary anti vacuum / vent port w/closeoff & rollover valve to assist with suction ease, at the highest point of the tank. Gone are the days of relying on a failed Polaris oil cap, and now with much better venting and anti vacuum than stock, reducing oil pump stress, and increasing performance, especially when a machine is turned up on power requiring more oiling, and flow from the pump.
**Extra weight saving trick tip: If you're using an n/a machine, and don't require the additional downward bend guard (boost style support plate), zip it off, and save an additional few grams...

Instructions
Install instructions.
-Remove keys from machine,
-Remove side panel, and other fold down panel / belt access panel.
-Place some shop towels to keep clutches clean of any oil drips when installing or working on. MAKE SURE TO REMOVE SHOP TOWELS before running up machine!
-Remove oil lines, and stock jug / plate (try an keep oil lines high, for no drip or oil loss)
-At the bench, remove oil from stock jug, and remove pickup tube on stock jug (Y fitting for boost models, and straight barb for n/a)
-Remove orange rubber grommet from stock jug (inspect for cracks, damage or rubber wear, and replace if needed before continuing.)
-re-install rubber grommet into Oil Rez, and install pickup tube (Y fitting or barb, depending on sled). Make sure to fully push in to allow grommet to expand and create a beautiful seal.) Rotate the pickup barb fittings so they are horiozontal in line with the plate.
-Inspect oil lines on sled, and if needed, gain some slack for hookup of the Oil Rez. Sometimes, clipping a zip tie to allow more slack can help.
-We recommend using a plastic style syringe to back feed oil and re fill/prime lines going to motor and/or turbo incase any oil dripped out. Crucial to top these up. syringe works amazing.
-Install Oil Rez into the machine using the front hook plate, and mounting studs where the nuts will go (don't install nuts just yet)
-With the oil lines fed and primed with oil, re install them onto fitting (s) in the Oil Rez. (don't put the hose clamps or nuts on just yet..)
-Fill the oil Rez with some oil (maybe start with about 1/4- 1/2, just enough to fill into the pickup baffle ,and feed the pickup)
-inspect the oil lines, and make sure they are fully red with no air bubbles before moving to next step.
-Run the machine up, and watch for air bubbles. If you have some introduce, you'll need to bleed them out, these can start showing up as machine pulls oil now, and since the lines have been opened up and fucked with..
*-This can assist with bleeding air and priming... remove oil line (s) at the fitting slowly, and allow oil to gravity feed to them off the barb while off the fitting, topping them up, and quickly placing back onto the barb fitting, to remove any air. (squeezing the line sometimes helps too, to pinch air out) You may drip a bit of oil since it'll be gravity fed out the barb. Clean up as needed.
-Run the machine up , and again, watch for air bubbles.
-Repeat steps above until no air bubbles, and good prime
-put the hose clamps back onto the oil lines once fully bled, and secure the oil plate with the factory 10mm nuts.
-place a zip tie through the hole that is milled into the oil Rez near the oil lines / barb(s), and secure them to the plate, keeping them away from the motor/ head, and inline the plate. Make sure the factory wire loom that comes stock around the oil lines is in tact, and in a location to protect the lines from any excess heat. make sure there is no raw oil line coming in contact with any motor accessories, or sharp edges that could cause grief while riding. Take your time, be diligent! Clean up any excess spilled oil, especially if any snuck onto your clutch faces.
-Rip it.
